Though we don’t bring our two young children to McDonald’s very often, sometimes we do stop by and have a meal there when we can’t stop the craving.
While we are there, we always get the hottest fries from the restaurant. Not only are they steaming hot, the fries are healthier too.
We are treated differently not because we are from the elite group or we have shares in McDonald’s. You will be able to do it too if you know one simple trick.
This is a trick I learned from a friend during my university days (Geez, that was like almost 20 years ago!). It works like a charm even until now.
Trick to Steaming Hot French Fries
If you want to get hot and healthy French fries instead of soggy ones, here is the trick.
Next time when you order your meal at McD, tell the staff at the counter you want your fries without salt.
Yes that’s right. Fries without salt.
That’s all you need to do.
In order for them to provide you with saltless fries, they have to give you the freshest batch from the deep fryer – fries that are just cooked. Hot from the oven so to speak.
If you ask for this, you have to wait for a while for the fries to be delivered to you. But it won’t be long, probably less than 5 minutes.
It is worth the wait. Why not? You can enjoy hot French fries.
We usually eat without the salt. If you still prefer to go with the salt, just grab a few packets from the dispensing counter and sprinkle some. At least you have a say how much salt to go into your fries.
Try this when you dine at McDonald’s next time. But don’t tell them you learn the trick from me 🙂
